Attention Current 10th Grade Students
Applications are now being accepted for any sophomore who is interested in serving as the Junior Student Representative to the School Board. All sophomores are eligible to represent the Spring-Ford students as the School Board Representative next year. If you are interested, stop in the Main Lobby and obtain information and an application from Mrs. Savage. Application deadline is April 5th.

Join the FCS and Library Clubs on our trip to New York City to visit the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
WHEN: SATURDAY, MAY 20, 2017. MEET IN FRONT OF THE 10-12 BUILDING AT 7:30 A.M.
DEPART MUSEUM AT 3 P.M. Return to SFHS by 5 p.m.
WHO: ANY SPRING-FORD STUDENT IN GRADES 9-12.
COST: $50 INCLUDES BUS RIDE AND MUSEUM ADMISSION. BRING YOUR OWN FOOD OR BUY IT AT
THE MUSEUM. BRING A $50 CHECK MADE OUT TO SPRING-FORD HIGH SCHOOL OR $50 CASH TO MRS. WRIGHT IN ROOM 122 BY TUESDAY MAY 16.
The first 42 students who pay $50 and bring in the attached permission slip will secure their reservation. No REFUNDS.

The 2017 Spring-Ford Area High School Junior/Senior Prom will be held on Saturday, April 29th from 6 to 10:30pm at Drexelbrook in Drexel Hill. Followed by the SNAP Post Prom at the High School from 11pm to 4am. Please reference the Post Prom information and registration form for SNAP.
Tickets for the prom will be sold for $75 during lunches on the following dates: April 5, 6, 7, 10, 11, 18, 19, 20, 21. Students with any outstanding obligation (textbook, health form, senior fee, etc.) will not be permitted to purchase a ticket.
If you would like to ride to the prom in a coach bus, rather than provide your own transportation, please sign up in the 11th or 12th grade office with a payment of $25 by Friday, April 7th.
If you plan on bringing a guest that does not attend Spring-Ford, please fill out this guest form and return it to the 11th or 12th grade office by March 31st for administrative review and approval.

SFAHS Nationally Recognized by Newsweek
Spring-Ford Area Senior High School was nationally ranked Newsweek’s 2016 “America’s Top High Schools” report. With more than 15,000 high schools under consideration, Spring-Ford was ranked in the top 500 at number 306.
According to the publication’s website, “The Newsweek High School Rankings assess schools based on a broad range of data to determine which institutions do the best job of preparing students for college.” Spring-Ford, like the other high-achieving high schools, shined primarily because of its high achieving students and highly talented teachers.
Data do schools needed to provide for Newsweek’s survey included school demographics and counselors; college acceptance and enrollment; SAT and ACT participation and performance; AP, IB, and AICE participation and performance; and dual enrollments. Spring-Ford’s data shined.
Parking Permit Application 2016-2017
The application for a Parking Permit for the 2016-2017 School year is available here. Complete both sides of the application and hand it in to the 11th grade house office. The parking permit fee is $50. A student will not be eligible for a parking permit if he or she owes an obligation.
